Engineering Manager - Computer Vision (Spatial AI) Meta Reality Labs seeks an experienced, highly motivated Engineering Manager to build the future. Our dynamic team values innovation, collaboration, and proven technical expertise. You will shape tomorrow's reality, developing cutting-edge technologies for current and future Reality Labs products: immersive MR/AR devices, AI glasses, AI agents, and advanced robotics. You'll lead the development of the next generation of spatial agents that are capable of advanced spatial and physical reasoning. This work will be a core part of the revolutionary egocentric devices that intuitively understand the physical world across multiple modalities. Responsibilities: Develop and implement technical strategies to research and develop novel Spatial AI based-experiences, including production roadmap different core CV/ML capabilities from data curation, experiment design, evaluation, and production validation Drive efficiency gains on training and deployment of multi-modal foundation models through novel techniques and core infrastructure building Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects Remain up-to-date on ongoing research and software development activities in the industry, work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions Foster a work environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement Minimum Qualifications: 12+ years, or PhD + 8 years, of software engineering work experience, including technical management BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience 2+ years of managing managers, 5+ years of hands-on supporting and leading teams of research scientists and software engineers Demonstrated experience recruiting, and building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management Experience with cross functional collaboration with other teams including non-engineering functions Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing teams productizing Computer Vision or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies from conception to end Technical experience in leading teams/projects in one or more of the technical domains of machine perception (i.e., machine vision, deep learning, sensors and robotics) Experience in leading teams interfacing with Hardware (sensors, silicon) teams in setting requirements and product tradeoffs Experience managing joint hardware-software development and associated rapid prototyping projects MS, PhD, or work experience in a related field of Computer Vision, or AI/Machine Learning in domains related to 3D vision (e.g. SLAM, SfM), perception ML models (e.g. segmentation, depth), or Vision Language Models About Meta: Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
