Your Responsibilities

Our Business Unit Load Cells & Platforms (LCPF) develops weighing sensors and hard- and software platforms for the entire global METTLER TOLEDO Group. For our operational global headquarters in Nänikon/Greifensee, we are looking for a person for our Research & Development (R&D) department in the team 'Software Embedded Systems' as an Embedded Software Engineer 80-100% (all genders).

Our area is a supplier of a powerful embedded software platform for trade, industrial, and laboratory devices. We develop and optimize new solutions in close cooperation with worldwide distributed product development teams. As a platform supplier, we form the hub and competence center for software topics in the embedded area for the entire METTLER TOLEDO Group.

In this function, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You are responsible for the hardware-related programming and maintenance of our internationally used embedded software platform (C/C++, MS Visual Studio,...)
  • You develop firmware for your own products, simulations, and virtualizations
  • You are responsible for the specification, design, documentation, and verification according to development processes
  • You support and train our worldwide distributed internal customers
  • You further support SW-part projects for technology and product developments
Your Profile

The following requirements apply to this position:

  • You have a higher education (FH / ETH) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a focus on Computer Technology
  • You bring a proven experience in the development of embedded systems
  • You have very good C/C++ programming skills and agile development methodology
  • You have knowledge of digital technology or control technology/signal processing for embedded systems
  • Your experience with Zephyr OS is of great advantage
  • Your experience in product management, SW architecture is of advantage
  • You describe yourself as implementation-strong and have a high degree of customer orientation
  • You are a teamable and flexible personality also in challenging, complex situations
  • You are communicative, self-reliant with fast comprehension ability and abstract thinking
  • You have good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
