Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Manager to join our Chemtech division in Switzerland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for steering high-impact licensing strategies, making key decisions, and managing vital stakeholder relationships.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for our licensing activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead negotiations of complex licensing agreements, including equipment and technical field advisory services contracts.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize licensing revenue and expand market penetration.
- Partner closely with senior management to craft long-term licensing plans and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the licensing department, aligned with Sulzer's vision of growth and excellence.
- Cultivate and maintain key partnerships with external stakeholders, industry leaders, and existing clients, to maximize business growth.
- Spearhead comprehensive sales proposals and financial models.
- Prepare complex contracts, with detailed techno-commercial annexes, leveraging legal and finance to negotiate strategically.
- Identify and capitalize on niche market opportunities for biopolymers such as PLA, PCL, and related co-polymers.
- Ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction through effective cross-functional communication.
- Deliver compelling techno-commercial presentations to industry stakeholders and thought leaders.
Requirements
- University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental or Material Sciences – other related fields welcome.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in licensing sales for a similar / transferable industrial market player; involvement in sugar to chemicals application is an asset.
- Strong ability to interpret customer requirements, market trends, and translate into strategic insights, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Team and customer-centric approach, leveraging integrity and credibility to build trusted relationships within a multinational environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally, approx. 40%.
