Bioprocess Engineer in Upstream Processing or Downstream Processing or BioConjugate Manufacturing

As a global leader in life sciences, Lonza is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand. We are seeking a talented Bioprocess Engineer to join our team in the United States, with a focus on upstream and downstream processing or bioconjugate manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and safe execution of clinical and commercial manufacturing operations, adhering to quality standards.
- Lead the preparation, manufacturing, cleaning, and changeover of assigned areas, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Oversee one or more defined USP areas, such as seed train, main cultivation, or harvest, for therapeutic protein production using mammalian or microbial expression systems.
- Manage one or more defined DSP areas, including capture, polishing, or filling, for therapeutic protein purification from mammalian or microbial cells.
- Be responsible for entire processes or process units for clinical and commercial manufacturing projects in therapeutic BioConjugates, such as Antibody Drug Conjugates.
Key Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Life Science subject, or a Bachelor's degree with experience in pharma production.
- Knowledge of either USP (bioreactors) or DSP units (chromatography).
- Working experience in biomanufacturing, with GMP experience and understanding of bioprocess technology.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with good German skills an advantage.
