Salary
Based on industry standards and the location of Zurich, we estimate an attractive salary range of CHF 80,000 - CHF 120,000 per annum for this position, depending on experience.
Job Description
This newly created role within the Cloud Adoption & Reliability Engineering (CARE) team involves delivering a Kubernetes as a Service (K8SaaS) self-service platform, part of the new Switch Cloud, called Switch Cloud Kubernetes (SCK). You will be responsible for operating and continuously developing our K8SaaS platform, providing end-user support, integrating with other systems, coordinating with stakeholders, and collaborating with team members and other Switchies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess a motivated, open-minded individual with a curious and inquisitive mindset, able to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Your reliability, adaptability, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities will be essential in thriving within our diverse, dynamic, and distributed team.
You should have hands-on experience with Linux, CLI, Containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Git, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD principles, automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting. A solid understanding of cloud-native technologies and open-source ecosystems is also necessary.
