About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Trading Expert to join our team at Capco Switzerland - Geneva. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialized assistance to our clients within the energy sector, with a specific emphasis on commodity trading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough requirements analysis and define target architectures for commodity trading solutions.
  • Oversee solution implementations and ensure alignment between business concepts and deliverables executed by delivery teams.
  • Take direct responsibility for the effective implementation of various energy solutions, including Commodity/Energy Trading and Risk Management (CTRM/ETRM), portfolio management, market access, market data, forecasting, scheduling, logistics solutions, and digital data platforms and tools for value measurement and optimization.
  • Assist in the management of transformation programs by coordinating implementation efforts and providing guidance to delivery teams, including business analysts, developers, and quality assurance personnel.
  • Improve the quality of delivery by offering insights into methodological approaches to delivery teams, drawing from extensive expertise and experience in the commodity trading industry.

Requirements

  • Possess an above-average academic background with a degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration, energy engineering, international trade, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience primarily within implementation programs, particularly within the commodity trading sector.
  • Acquire tangible experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams comprising business analysts, developers, and quality assurance professionals.
  • Exhibit practical technical expertise in designing, implementing, and configuring leading commodity trading solutions, including familiarity with ETRM systems such as Allegro, Murex, Aligne, or OpenLink.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of commodity trading systems landscapes, encompassing core systems, associated capabilities, interfaces, and recent advancements in data landscapes.
  • Demonstrate outstanding analytical and conceptual capabilities, coupled with a client-focused and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English, and French or German skills are highly recommended.
  • Emphasize teamwork and effective communication skills, essential for collaborative efforts towards achieving shared objectives.
