Job Title: Principal Automation Specialist

Join ABB's team of experts in the field of process automation and take on a challenging role as a Principal Automation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the specialist management of automation ET/MSR technology hardware for power generation plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of innovative and high-quality automation solutions from design and documentation to factory acceptance and commissioning planning.
  • Support our sales department in all matters relating to our technical solutions and products.
  • Prepare cost calculations for your area and carry out necessary investigations and analyses.
  • Represent the results to customers and ensure the consistency of technical concepts for engineering, testing, assembly, and commissioning.
  • Review complete project documentation for compliance, safety, and quality assurance and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of professional experience in design and project realization of electrical installations for process automation in larger plants.
  • Sound knowledge of the locally applicable regulations and directives in Switzerland as well as applicable international codes and standards.
  • Very good knowledge of the EPLAN software.
  • Business fluent in German and English, French is an asset.
