Global Metals Trade Finance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury / Trade Finance Manager to join our finance team at STAEGER PERSONAL PARTNERS, a mid-sized, globally active metals trading company with its headquarters in Zurich. This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone looking to strengthen their career in trade finance and directly report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
About the RoleIn this key position, you will be responsible for managing bilateral financing lines, borrowing base, discounting and factoring facilities. Your primary focus will be on maintaining strong relationships with financing banks, including onboarding, developing, negotiating terms, presenting deals, and managing repos.
Key Responsibilities- Manage bilateral financing lines (CTF, Repo, overdraft), borrowing base, discounting and factoring facilities
- Communicate effectively with financing banks to ensure smooth operations
- Analyze and forecast free cash flow, manage cash allocation, and actively monitor collateral management
- Develop risk management tools and metrics, define internal processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Generate daily profit and loss (P&L) reports for senior management, valuing physical book against market incl. hedges
- Optimize overall interest costs and banking charges
- Maintain cross-departmental communication and coordination between Finance/Treasury, Trading, Hedging, Logistics, and Accounting departments
- At least three years of experience in trade finance or similar roles in treasury
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Excellent Excel skills, advanced PowerPoint skills, and knowledge of programming languages
- Familiarity with hedging and experience in hedge execution
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally
- Goal-oriented and dedicated personality, entrepreneurial mindset, and self-driven approach
- Ability to identify opportunities and transform them into results, high ability for networked thinking
- Fluent English skills are a must; any other language is an advantage
- Existing network within financing banks is a plus
