About the Role

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is seeking a highly skilled Program Management Officer (PMO) to join our Commerce and Operations team. As a PMO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, from planning to delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing briefs and analysis for senior management, maintaining project management tools, and supporting program monitoring.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare briefs and analysis on key strategic decisions for senior management
  • Maintain guides, templates, and project portfolio dashboards
  • Support program monitoring (timelines, deliverables, and implementation)
  • Organize meetings and events
  • Maintain administrative documents and applications

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Experience with SharePoint and Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
