Datacenter Network Engineer

This role is responsible for deploying and maintaining various network and server infrastructure components within a datacenter environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT principles, including networks, hardware, and domains. They will also be knowledgeable about datacenter and network hardware architecture, server/client operations, and Active Directory. Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of infrastructure equipment, rack and stack of equipment, and break-fix activities related to infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
The Datacenter Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Deploying and maintaining servers, storage devices, and network infrastructure components.
- Troubleshooting network and server issues, and performing break-fix activities.
- Collaborating with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Providing on-site support and maintenance of datacenter equipment.
- Coordinating and agreeing attendance time and date with key stakeholders.
- Updating and recording of activities in relevant IT Ticket Management System.
- Performing installation as needed either through physical or network medium.
- Coordinate actual activity date and timings including arrival and departure times.
- Following specific task instructions and provision necessary reporting as necessary.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- A strong understanding of IT principles, including networks, hardware, and domains.
- Knowledge of datacenter and network hardware architecture, server/client operations, and Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of infrastructure equipment, rack and stack of equipment, and break-fix activities related to infrastructure environments.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Bachelor of Engineering / Technology / Science or Equivalent Work Experience.
- 5 – 7 years of overall experience.

The ideal candidate must have English language skills.

The ideal candidate should have:

- Able to communicate clearly and effectively both with Client and the Customer.
