Photonic Integration Specialist

LIGENTEC SA, a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is developing innovative Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for customers in high-tech industries. We are looking for a highly skilled Photonic Integration Specialist to support our growth.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Process Engineer with a focus on photonic integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing processes for active integration of additional materials on the Ligentec SiN platform.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in clean room environments, including lithography, dry etching, PVD or CVD. Strong hands-on experience in wafer or die bonding technologies is also required. A technical degree in electrical, chemical, physical or nano engineering is essential.
The selected candidate will be part of our international, diverse, customer-focused, and highly motivated team. They will work closely with our R&D and Process teams to contribute to process integration topics.
Key Responsibilities- Develop processes for active integration of additional materials on the Ligentec SiN platform
- Define and execute Design of Experiments at the clean-room facilities.
- Statistical data analysis and physical model fitting of opto-electrical device properties.
- Execute prototype fabrication runs for photonic integrated circuits.
- Documentation of results with strong emphasis on correlations between optical and electrical properties of integrated actives.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on clean room experience (lithography, dry etching, PVD or CVD)
- Strong hands-on experience in wafer or die bonding technologies.
- Technical degree in electrical, chemical, physical or nano engineering
- Open-minded, communicative and critical thinking.
- Solution and goal oriented.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
