Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Environmental Sustainability Specialist to contribute to our mission of achieving ambitious environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate reduction initiatives with a strong emphasis on scope 3 emissions to help the organization meet its environmental goals.
  • Gather, assess, validate, monitor, and interpret sustainability metrics at both the corporate and product levels.
  • Oversee data-intensive projects by collaborating with a diverse array of internal teams and external sustainability and procurement partners.
  • Implement an inclusive stakeholder engagement process to ensure project deliverables align with sustainability targets while maintaining a practical and business-focused approach.
  • Ensure data management practices adhere to the latest standards and guidelines of the GHG Protocol.
  • Assist in the publication of greenhouse gas emissions data and progress reports for sustainability targets.

  • Innovative Mindset: Proactive and open to initiating new projects with creative solutions, challenging conventional practices, and exploring uncharted territories.
  • Results-Driven: Competently manage projects and resources, taking personal accountability and focusing on outcomes rather than inputs.

Qualifications

  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree in business, engineering, or a related sustainability field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sustainability-focused role, with knowledge of GHG Protocol and Scope 3 emissions.
  • A proven history of successfully managing projects in sustainability, product management, or procurement within a multinational corporate setting.
  • Understanding of data governance and skilled in managing (meta-)data to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Experience in sustainability reporting and science-based targets is a plus.
