We are a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical primary packaging and analytical lab services. Our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems produces over 10 billion syringes, vials, ampoules, cartridges, and special articles of tubing glass or polymer in 13 countries worldwide.

We are looking for a (Senior) Process Engineer to join our global R&D department in St. Gallen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing pioneer processes and introducing state-of-the-art technologies to manufacture innovative primary and secondary packaging products.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will be our innovator and process expert, developing processes that optimize processing times, improve yield, and reduce defects.
  • You will execute complex innovation, customer-specific, and industrialization projects from idea to market launch.
  • You will be responsible for planning technical work packages and delivering them according to quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • You will travel to global production sites and suppliers up to 30% of the time.

Your Profile

  • You have a university degree in Life Science or Engineering (pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials engineering, etc.).
  • You have (5+) 2+ years of working experience in process development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging.
  • You have knowledge and experience with glass or polymer processes like hot forming, gluing, cleaning, coating, assembling, injection molding, and/or packaging processes.
  • You have knowledge of equipment and process qualification and validation as well as related standards and regulations (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378).
  • You have knowledge of statistical data analysis and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • You are fluent in English and German (written and spoken) with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You have a structured working style and ability to plan and prioritize technical activities.
  • You have creativity and ability to think out of the box and generate intellectual property.
