About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at IG Group. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operates in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day compliance support to the first line of defence and various departments of the Bank
- Advise the Account Opening team on the account opening process and client reviews
- Participate in the account opening of high-risk and PEP clients
- Monitor daily and high-risk transactions and various compliance controls
- Prepare compliance training for all employees
- Draft and review internal policies and procedures
- Prepare and follow up on internal and external audits
- Review and analyze client complaints
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting
- Perform administrative tasks
Requirements
- Relevant experience in the Swiss Financial markets is mandatory
- Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers and senior management
- Diploma attesting to relevant training for the function
- University degree in law would be a plus
- Compliance qualification such as CAS holder would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of Swiss Banking regulations
- Fluent in English
- German, French, or Italian language as a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills

- Sound understanding of the risks that the business is exposed to and the impact of external events and internal changes on those risks
- Open individual who communicates effectively at all levels and is capable of challenging the business
- Team player with a strong ability to work independently

- An eye for detail and excellent analytical and writing skills
