Impact and Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Software Architect at Zühlke Engineering AG, you will be responsible for developing complex IT architectures in innovative software solutions and providing strategic-technological advice to our customers.
  • You will manage teams from a technical perspective from kick-off to roll-out and collaborate closely with the project management team.
  • With your leadership skills, you will inspire and mobilize your project team and our customers to drive ideas forward.
  • You will contribute significantly to the success of a wide range of projects by coaching your team members in Software Engineering and Architecture and applying agile principles.
  • You will also develop our Zühlke network of experts and work on group-wide initiatives for the continuous improvement of software development.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have at least five years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or Architect.
  • You possess knowledge in the development of highly available and secure cloud solutions, as well as expertise in software architectures and documentation, particularly in microservices and domain-driven design, and with tools such as UML and Arc42.
  • You are highly experienced in the Backend (e.g. Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases and Apache Kafka) and ideally also in the Frontend (e.g. Angular or React).
  • You have knowledge of DevOps/GitOps, specifically CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring, as well as security (e.g. OAuth2, OIDC, and authentication and authorization).
  • You bring convincing leadership qualities, a coaching and mentoring mentality, a growth mindset, and the willingness to learn continuously.
  • You are an excellent communicator and are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level).
