Job Role and Responsibilities


As a researcher at the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, you will be responsible for advancing the field of colloidal systems and developing novel self-assembly methods towards assembled colloidal micromachines.


Your Key Tasks



  • Synthesize and functionalize nano-colloids using miniemulsion techniques, leveraging your expertise in responsive polymeric systems and interfaces/colloid science.
  • Develop and implement different self-assembly methods to create customized micromachines, exploring various applications in biomedical and environmental fields.
  • Contribute to the dissemination of scientific results through international conferences and peer-reviewed journals, collaborating with renowned researchers worldwide.
  • Participate in group and institute duties, including mentoring opportunities for bachelor and master students, and actively engage in publishing research outcomes and presenting at conferences.

Your Profile


We seek a highly motivated and experienced researcher with a master's degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline, and a strong track record of achievements in responsive polymeric systems and interfaces/colloid science. Prior experience with nano-colloids and knowledge of microfluidic synthesis systems are highly valued. Excellent communication skills, a curious and open-minded attitude, and proficiency in oral and written English are essential for this role.
