The Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional with comprehensive knowledge of AI and data solutions to join our team as a Lead Data Architect. You'll be responsible for data platforms, data products, and complex AI projects, working closely with clients, experts, and partners to bring their transformation and innovation projects to success.

Your Impact

  • You will design and implement optimal data structures, data processing pipelines, and data management strategies using your expertise in modern data platform architectures, data mesh, data security, and data governance.
  • You will develop sustainable software architecture for data platforms and data products, taking into account non-functional requirements like availability, flexibility, stability, maintainability, and security, as well as economic considerations.
  • You will contribute insights gained from projects to Zühlke's methodology and process portfolio, advancing the field of data platforms strategically both internally and externally.
  • You will work on a wide range of technologies, including Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, data platform services from Azure and AWS, serverless and container solutions, relational, columnar, and NoSQL databases, data lakes and warehouses, stream and batch processing, SQL, Python, and Scala.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a technical degree from a university (ETH, Uni, FH) in computer science or a comparable qualification. Excellent communication skills in English are required, as well as a confident presence in client communication and a strong drive to take on responsibility in projects and advance our data and AI expertise.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately CHF 120,000 - 150,000 per year, depending on your experience. In addition to your annual salary, you may receive a profit share defined by the company's success in the previous year.
