Senior Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our team at Randstad Inhouse Services in Bern, Switzerland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to leverage their expertise in contamination control and cleanroom environments.

As a Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for providing microbiological expertise to ensure the quality and sterility of our cleanroom environment and purified water systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing procedures for contamination control and aseptic processing
• Providing microbiological expertise for cleanroom environment and purified water systems routine testing programs
• Collaborating with the Qualification and Validation teams to ensure the performance-qualification (PQ) of cleanrooms and utilities
• Evaluating new manufacturing processes and ensuring they meet biocontamination control principles and sterility assurance requirements

You will also support Quality investigations related to contamination control issues, set Contamination control KPIs and metrics, and train operators on current procedures and best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, engineering, or an equivalent pharma discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in a GMP environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Collaborative nature and proactive communication skills

The ideal candidate will have experience working in cleanrooms environments, understanding contamination control for manufacturing processes, and knowledge of pharmaceutical utilities. Additionally, you will be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
