About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Front End Software Engineer to support our growing community of developers building decentralized applications on the Internet Computer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript frameworks, collaboration with designers, and a focus on security and accessibility.

Responsibilities:

As a Front End Software Engineer at DFINITY, you will work on projects like:

  • Forging user-facing apps for network governance and status dashboards
  • Prototyping example apps showcasing unique concepts and capabilities of the Internet Computer

Background and Skills:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue
  • Experience collaborating with designers to build design systems and pattern libraries
  • A focus on security and accessibility considerations
  • A plan for browser support, integration testing, and performance budgets
  • Ability to code with multiple target form factors in mind
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to treating challenges as opportunities to learn
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • At least 5 years of experience as a front end engineer with a track record of shipping products
  • Expert understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
