Java Developer with Expertise in SWIFT and Microservices

About the Role

EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in SWIFT financial messaging and microservices to join our team in Zürich. As a Java and SWIFT Technology Specialist, you will work closely with our client's esteemed Global Messaging and Screening department within Group Technology.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of in-house built products such as a message broker and market gateways, connecting to global markets worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using Java and the related ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the customer and teams in other locations on a daily basis.
  • Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders.
  • Help lead our growing team of analysts and engineers to build new applications and develop further existing ones.
  • Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC.

Requirements

  • 5+ year of Java development experience.
  • Hands-on SWIFT Financial Messaging experience (MT, MX, ISO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Spring (Boot, Cloud, Security, REST), Microservice architectural pattern, Cloud, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Maven/Gradle, GIT.
  • Knowledge about IBM MQ is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with AMH (Alliance Messaging Hub) is a significant advantage.
  • Proficient communication skills in English is must, German language skills are significant advantage.
