Chief Operating Officer

TN Switzerland is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer for our Asset Management division.

About the Role

  • This is an all-encompassing position that will oversee the day-to-day operations of our asset management firm, ensuring seamless execution and risk management across various portfolios.
  • Responsibilities include direct monitoring and oversight of portfolio performance, management of master cash flow files, capital calls, distributions, and related documentation, as well as AML/KYC compliance and investor relations support.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong Excel and data management skills, with experience in middle/back-office management of asset management firms with private equity/public market investments and multiple investors.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in middle/back-office management, preferably within the asset management space.
  • Background in accounting/audit, ideally from a 'big four' audit firm.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in German and French is highly desirable.
  • Swiss citizenship or possession of a valid Swiss working permit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with custodians and transfer agents to ensure timely settlement of client assets.
  • Process private placement hedge fund subscriptions, transfers, and settlements on behalf of institutional and private clients.
  • Maintain corporate invoicing process, including e-banking entries, and act as deputy for invoice processing of discretionary mandates and funds.
  • Review and implement risk controls to ensure accuracy and prepare elementary risk reports for board packs.
  • Contribute to the development of new technological enhancements to improve processes and workflow.
  • Nurture relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders.
