Senior Asset Engineer and Technical Lead for Transportation Systems

Careers@Gov is seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Engineer and Technical Lead for Transportation Systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Public Transit Operators (PTO), LTA design team, and project engineers in delivering Signalling, Communication, and Control systems/equipment while ensuring Design Build for Operation & Maintenance (DBfOM) considerations.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to achieve a high level of availability, operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety. Responsibilities will include reviewing requirements and providing insights into Design and Build for Operations & Maintenance, as well as Life Cycle Management for Signalling, Communication, and Control systems/equipment assets.
Additional tasks will encompass evaluating the scope and justifications of Asset Modifications and Renewal proposals, ensuring they align with maintainability, supportability, and cost-effectiveness. This will also involve overseeing asset enhancement plans, monitoring condition capabilities, and implementing corrective plans for asset failures.
Key aspects of the role will include managing the transfer of assets between Operators and LTA, maintaining an accurate asset inventory, approving, and tracking configuration changes, and overseeing asset disposal throughout their service life. Conducting maintenance audits, asset condition audits, and reviewing asset management reports by Operators will also be integral to the position.
The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering discipline and have relevant engineering experience in Signalling, Communication, Control, and Maintenance Management. Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving ability, good judgment, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in written language, are also necessary. Self-motivated, resourceful, and a positive attitude are highly desirable. While experience is advantageous, candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
