Japanese Speaking Explorer Staff

Viking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Japanese speaking Explorer Staff to join our Hotel Administration team on our Ocean vessels. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional front-desk service to our guests, ensuring their satisfaction and promoting shore excursions at various ports of call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure guest concerns are settled according to Viking's STAR Service Standards.
- Process guests at embarkation/registration, collecting passports and documents.
- Maintain a working cash float, collect payments, and register credit cards.
- Assist with tour dispatch and execution, escorting guests on shore excursions.
- Become knowledgeable about itinerary-related ports of call, shore excursions, and shipboard activities.
- Follow up with guest concerns involving the hotel department to reach guest satisfaction.
- Undertake concierge duties, booking restaurants and activities onboard and ashore.

About You:
- Minimum one year's experience in a front-of-house role at a premium brand hotel or resort.
- Shipboard experience is preferred.
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, flexible, stress-resistant, and committed team player.
- Ability to handle difficult guests and situations with grace and professionalism.
