The QARE Service focuses on quality control and research related to cable ageing assessment at CERN accelerators. The activity involves the development of suitable cable testing techniques, establishing aging requirements, and gathering comprehensive cable lifecycle information.
This position requires proficiency in advanced statistical methods, big data analysis, and data analytics, as well as a solid understanding of quality control procedures. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in:
- Monitoring, analysing, and validating testing data from various cable sample tests and condition monitoring in radiation areas.
- Establishing and maintaining quality control protocols for cable testing procedures, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Developing and implementing statistical quality control methods to identify anomalies and trends in test results.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess:
- Proven experience in database development and management.
- Proficiency in advanced statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, especially in technical and scientific contexts.
- Strong programming skills, including proficiency in languages such as Python.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information effectively.
- A maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
