Unlock the Secrets of Advanced Process Control

VAT is seeking a talented engineer to join our team in Haag, Switzerland. As a Vacuum Chamber Control Specialist, you will be responsible for developing advanced algorithms for fast and efficient gas pressure control using VAT's existing pressure control technology.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve current models used for simulation and control of the gas pressure in a vacuum chamber
  • Develop, perform and document experiments (DoE) including results in organized and structured way
  • Testing and verification of the developed process control technology
  • Cooperate among cross-functional teams of experts within VAT R&D organization

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (BSc or MSc) in control engineering, mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, physics or similar
  • Strong skills and knowledge in control system theory, system modelling and machine learning
  • Programming skills in Matlab Simulink and Python
  • PLC knowledge and experience with deploying control systems on embedded hardware is a plus
  • Knowhow in fluid dynamics theory for vacuum applications is advantageous
