Job Summary:

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Process Industries division at ABB. As a key member of our international project team, you will be responsible for providing solutions to our clients in the Mining, Aluminum, and Cement industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering activities for installation and infrastructure plant electrification, covering the entire project lifecycle, and manage internal and external project engineering teams.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of project engineering activities in the office according to contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor production of deliverables to quickly identify and address budget deviations, supporting project management in issuing claims.
  • Participate in design review meetings to clarify technical points, optimize customer design concepts to reduce costs, and prepare equipment specifications and trade-off studies based on international standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a project lead engineer or project engineer in the field of installation and infrastructure design.
  • Well-developed communication skills with excellent self-starting abilities and a structured approach to work.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a relevant field.
  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrated through experience as a senior project or functional lead.
  • Fluent in English, with any further languages an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% (from shorter assignments up to a week outside Europe possible).
