About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional PhD candidate to join our team and contribute to the development of novel approaches for investigating iron mineral transformations and the coupled fate of mineral-associated organic carbon in redox-dynamic soil and sediment environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory and field studies on selected iron mineral transformation processes and their influence on carbon dynamics
- Analyze data using state-of-the-art experimental and analytical techniques, including stable isotope tracers and synchrotron techniques
- Collaborate with team members to develop research projects and publications
- Participate in teaching and supervision of laboratory practical courses for students
Requirements
- MSc degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or geology
- Demonstrated expertise in laboratory experimentation and data analysis
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
