Mission:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Settlements Operations Specialist to join our team at ING. Your primary goal will be to supervise and validate the daily activities in your designated scope, ensuring that operations are processed within applicable cut-off times and in accordance with strict procedures and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master daily activities of your direct colleague (BOS Employee) in order to review, validate, and supervise her/him in booking CCP, domestic, SEPA, and international wire payments, as well as FX (spot, forward, and swap) deals, for our TCF and Corporate customers, in accordance with applicable procedures, controls, and cut-off times.
  • Input or validate the most complex activities of the department, ensuring that all tasks are performed within the applicable policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Act as a BOS Employee or BOS Validator backup during absences, providing seamless coverage and minimizing disruptions to our operations.
  • Proactively identify and report IT deficiencies and process improvements, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our systems and processes.
  • Participate in UAT – User Acceptance Testing and audit and control companies, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to quality.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Mastering in all relevant banking activities, including payment schemes, payment channels, FX, and treasury.
  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT and SIC messages, such as MT101, MT103, MT200, MT202, MT202 COV, MT300, MT320, MT191, MT940, MT950, and their XML equivalents.
  • Proficiency in office products, including Outlook and Excel, and additional knowledge of XML – ISO20022 and SharePoint, Power Automate, and programming.
  • Independent, able to prioritize and well-organized, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in French and advanced level in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 3-5 years of previous professional experience in a similar position or in other back-office functions.
