Software Systems Architect

As a Software Systems Architect at KPMG, you will play a key role in shaping our digital data services and driving business growth. Our emerging enterprise architecture team is focused on creating scalable, secure, and compliant digital data solutions for our clients and people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data strategies, principles, and standards to drive business success
  • Design and implement data reference architectures to support our enterprise architecture repository
  • Generate architecture views and catalogs of our data assets to inform business and IT strategies
  • Provide data models and architecture reports to management and executive teams
  • Align our data architecture practices, processes, and tools with KPMG's parent strategy
  • Assess and enhance existing data system implementation procedures, quality, and security measures
  • Drive data management, quality, and security policies through automation pipelines
  • Guide engineering teams on technology and product selection for robust data solutions
  • Participate in the design of new IT solutions as a data SME
  • Design and implement data-intensive solutions for the organization
  • Oversee data migration from legacy systems to new platforms
  • Drive data awareness and training activities across the organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in data architecture and solution architecture
  • Extensive experience in data architecture concepts, related technology, and data architecture patterns
  • Proven experience in setting up data governance models, especially federated
  • Experience in cloud technology ecosystem, preferably MS Azure data services
  • Experience in Data Mesh architecture style is a plus
  • Strong English skills and ability to explain and facilitate data management practices, German is a plus
