EFG International is seeking a seasoned Geneva Head of Onboarding & Periodic Reviews professional to lead its Geneva-based team. With a strong background in Private Banking KYC/AML, the ideal candidate will excel in fostering a positive culture and driving operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and train the Geneva team, promoting a collaborative environment aligned with EFG's values;
  • Define objectives and manage performance, including effective appraisal, skills development, and yearly goal-setting for each team member;
  • Manage workload, assign priorities, monitor progress, and support team members in addressing potential roadblocks;
  • Act as the main contact person for local Private Banking heads on onboarding & periodic reviews matters;
  • Prepare comprehensive compliance analysis and recommendations for account openings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and plausibility;
  • Present higher-risk cases to the Client Acceptance Committee, providing relevant risk assessments and compliance recommendations;
  • Advise and support the front office on Financial Crime Risk and due diligence;
  • Assess clients' tax transparency risk, including FATCA and CRS forms;
  • Manage other requests, such as transactions approval or internal and external audits;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in compliance roles with strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices;
  • Strong people management skills;
  • Good knowledge of current sanctions regulations;
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents;
  • Professional English required, with Swiss National languages and additional languages a plus;
  • Ability to work independently and act with integrity;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills;
  • Superior attention to detail to ensure high-quality files;
  • Must be a strong communicator, resolve conflict, and express oneself clearly both speaking and in writing;
  • Possess a robust collaborative personality and be open to suggestions;

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
