About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant to support our team at the Chair for Early Modern English Literature. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in both English and German, and possess an outstanding BA degree in the field of English literature.Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting our team in research-related tasks, such as data collection, literature reviews, and conference organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into current work done in early modern studies and contribute to the development of ongoing projects. Additionally, you will have the chance to work closely with our team members, who are experts in their field, and develop your skills in research design and implementation.Your Profile
To be considered for this position, you should have a strong interest in the literature and culture from the Renaissance to around 1800. You should also possess basic skills in office programs (Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.What We Offer
As a research assistant, you will receive a salary of approximately CHF 35,000 per year, which is commensurate with other positions at the University of Zurich. You will also benefit from working in a collegial, supportive, and stimulating environment that encourages professional growth and development. The position is initially limited to a one-year period, with possible extensions per semester until the MA-degree has been completed.How to Apply
