Pensum: 80-100%

We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL Database Architect to join our team in Zurich area. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our PostgreSQL databases in a cloud-native environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance PostgreSQL databases in our Kubernetes-based cloud platform.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of databases supporting in-house and Atlassian applications.
  • Perform performance tuning of server systems and application queries.
  • Analyze metrics for capacity planning and potential performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Prometheus, Flux, and Helm.
  • Adhere to high standards of data security and compliance in a regulated industry environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL in a cloud-native environment, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in DevOps and container orchestration.
  • Passion for innovative solutions and design thinking.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Innovative mindset and passion for creating impactful eHealth solutions.
  • English is required; German or French is a plus.
