Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support the implementation of the Road Safety Global Training Initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reduction of road traffic fatalities and injuries worldwide.
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the overall coordination of activities face-to-face and online, maintaining communication with different partners, and liaising with UNITAR staff as necessary. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the design and/or rolling-out of both face-to-face and online training activities;
- Coordinating and implementing capacity building events and workshops, both online and face to face, on road safety related topics;
- Monitoring project progress against established milestones and deliverables;
- Compiling necessary information for status reports, internal briefings as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise style, as well as good inter-personal skills and demonstrated capacity to deal with colleagues and counterparts from different backgrounds. An advanced university degree in a field relevant to public health, public policy or social sciences, and at least 3 years of professional experience in public policy or public health field, ideally with focus on road safety and transport, are essential. Experience in project management and coordination is also desirable.
