Financial Operations Director Job Description
At Smarttech247, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Operations Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our financial operations and supporting our business growth.
About the Role
As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for leading our internal finance team and overseeing finance operations in various locations. Your primary focus will be on managing financial and management accounting functions, developing effective financial policies and controls, and collaborating with executives to create budgets and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all financial and management accounting functions across the group.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with executives and directors to create budgets, forecasts, and reports on results and performance.
- Ensure timely preparation of group consolidations under IFRS and develop necessary processes to improve the financial control environment.
- Liaise with auditors as part of the year-end audit process.
- Oversee the implementation of appropriate systems to manage financial information requirements.
Requirements
- A qualified accountant with senior-level experience and ideally, a knowledge of the industry.
- Experience working within a multi-country and currency environment.
- Knowledge of Sage Cloud, our current accounting system.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
