Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Project Manager to join our Industrial Chemicals group at Exponent. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and support to project teams working on regulatory submissions for the registration of industrial chemicals in the EU and UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice to clients and colleagues on regulatory matters related to industrial chemicals.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments concerning EU REACH and UK REACH, and apply this knowledge to manage REACH regulatory projects.
  • Offer technical and regulatory consultancy services to industrial clients in the chemicals sector.
  • Act as the primary client contact and ensure that registrations are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within agreed budgets.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients to ensure continued repeat business and enhance Exponent's reputation for excellent and impartial regulatory and scientific advice.
  • Assist in the development of new business with existing and new clients for the provision of regulatory services.
  • Mentor and assist in the personal development of junior members of the industrial chemicals team.

Requirements

  • BSc degree or above in a scientific discipline.
  • Excellent working knowledge of EU REACH and UK REACH.
  • Good working knowledge of worldwide industrial chemical regulations, and practical experience in managing global regulatory projects would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record of working in regulatory affairs for industrial chemicals and managing regulatory projects.
  • Experience in preparing dossiers in IUCLID.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex regulatory issues.
  • Strong organizational/project management skills and ability to work under pressure to time constraints and deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work that exceeds clients' expectations.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in business development would be a distinct advantage.
  • Staff management experience would be a distinct advantage.
