PhD Position in UAV-Based SAR Remote Sensing and Signal Processing

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team working on UAV-based SAR remote sensing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical/telecommunications engineering, geomatics engineering, aerospace engineering, geodesy, geophysics, physics, computer science, or a related field, with a focus on digital signal processing and/or image processing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Investigate Advanced SAR Imaging Algorithms: Develop, implement, and test advanced SAR imaging algorithms and geo-/biophysical parameter retrieval methods for different SAR sensor constellations and data acquisition modes.
- Demonstrate and Validate New Methods: Use state-of-the-art compact frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar instrumentation and GNSS-aided inertial navigation integrated on a multicopter UAV to demonstrate and validate these new methods.
