Job Title: Senior Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and support the development of our next-generation surgical robot, Dexter. As a key member of our Mechanical team, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly integrated mechatronic subsystems, integrating functional requirements, and ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems and subsystems for our surgical robot, including industrial design and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to design, prototype, test, and manufacture robotic platform subsystem designs and improvements.
- Develop and edit documentation, including requirement specifications, design descriptions, verification protocols, and assembly instructions.
- Execute Engineering Change Requests and support product design transfers to contract manufacturers.
- Lead technical design reviews and present technical details to cross-departmental groups.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in design of cobot/robot or robotic joints.
- A Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated proven experience in designing products or equipment, including design for manufacturability, assembly, design to cost, reliability, and serviceability.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with ability to work with external partners and suppliers and different departments within interdisciplinary development projects.
- Proficiency in Solidworks and ability to design for various manufacturing processes.
- Self-driven and able to excel in a high-energy, small, focused team, with a strong sense of shared responsibility and reward.
- Professional proficiency in English (oral and written).
