About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Engineering Department as a Project Officer for HL-LHC. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and coordinating installation activities for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Machine, focusing on the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support major projects, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with project milestones.\
  • Manage and monitor schedules, ensuring resource availability and identifying deviations to mitigate potential delays.\
  • Support production planning, optimizing workflows, and coordinating between different project phases.\
  • Prepare documentation and facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring clear and efficient collaboration.\
  • Handle operational disruptions, minimizing delays to installation schedules.\
  • Manage co-activities by collaborating with groups, stakeholders, and project representatives to maintain schedule integrity.\
  • Ensure safety compliance by working with the Safety Coordinator to address risks and enforce relevant procedures.\

About You: To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in project management, organization, and scheduling processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders are essential. A valid driving license is also required.

Requirements:

  • \
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.\
  • Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation.\
  • Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.\
  • No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract.\
  • Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.\
