Discover a challenging opportunity as an Electrical Specialist with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of electric motorcycles and vehicles.
About the RoleThis exciting position offers a unique blend of technical expertise, project management, and collaboration with industry leaders. As an Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing technical rules for new FIM competitions, focusing on electric disciplines. You will work closely with experts from the CTI and other sporting commissions to create and update Technical Rules books, ensuring compliance with FIM Standards, scientific studies, and technical analyses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and roll out Technical Rules books for new FIM competitions using FIM Standards, scientific studies, or technical analyses.
- Review and update existing Technical Rules books based on direct feedback from FIM Technical Directors, associated sporting commissions, and involved stakeholders.
- Support and collaborate with sporting disciplines to ensure motorcycle homologations meet their requirements, particularly in the field of electric vehicles.
- Create and deliver training content for technical seminars, both online and face-to-face, sometimes with external support from specialists.
- Prepare and run tests for participants to deliver FIM licenses.
- Monitor emerging trends that may affect FIM technical regulations.
- A Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering (PhD in a related field is an asset).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and French (FIM official languages) is essential for technical documents and correspondence.
- At least 5 years of experience in a motorcycling/automotive-related industry, preferably in R&D, such as Formula-E, Moto-E, or an electric racing company/team.
- Proven experience in Project Management and Project Leadership.
- Very good computer skills, including data logging/recording software, data analysis software, and powertrain test bench data.
- Interest in technical and sporting issues.
We provide a competitive salary range of €60,000-€80,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with occasional travel required for FIM events (approximately 10-20 events per year).
