Our team of experts assists and empowers people and organizations to operationalize, scale, and continuously deliver data and AI products beyond the pilot and prototype stages.
A Day in the LifeWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineering Consultant who will be involved in the whole lifecycle of projects, both internally and externally:
- Consulting and Engineering: You will help our clients understand their potential and limitations and deliver impactful services by leveraging your expertise in data, software, and AI engineering.
- Requirement Analysis: You will analyze customer requirements and identify best-fit solutions.
- Implementation: You will understand how to successfully deliver data projects from the prototype or pilot phase into production and implement engineering best practices within a demanding project and technology environment.
- Concept Development: You will contribute to our solution blueprints and concepts, such as our journey for 'Reliable Data Products & Efficient Data Meshes.'
- Expertise and Thought Leadership: You will strive to become an expert and trusted advisor in the field of Data Products, Data Mesh, and DataOps.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data or Software Engineer with a focus on data and ML systems.
- Experience with major data and AI platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, and MS Fabric.
- Familiarity with data analytics and DataOps best practices, as well as topics like Data Mesh, Data Lake/Warehouses, and Reliability Engineering.
- Understanding and strong interest in the end-to-end life cycle of projects, code, model, and data pipelines, and working with various stakeholders.
- Technical, hands-on experience with programming languages, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud services, REST API, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, agile development methods, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in a client-facing or consulting role.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Suitable work permit for Switzerland.
