Job Overview:

At Roche Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development Organization (pRED), we are committed to advancing cutting-edge technologies to improve the delivery of antibodies to the brain.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments independently to advance exploratory and preclinical projects
  • Develop and maintain cell-based assays with a broad range of microscopy and biochemical readouts
  • Analyze, interpret, and document data, communicating results in team and departmental meetings
  • Contribute to lab management and organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life sciences or a relevant area with at least 2 years of wet lab experience
  • Strong experience with human cell culture, preferably using stem cells
  • Expertise with molecular cell biology methods, including Western Blot, ELISA, confocal microscopy, cloning, and transfections
  • Hands-on experience with fluorescent or luminescent reporters and/or sensors would be beneficial
  • Basic experience with image analysis software (e.g., FIJI) and data analysis software (e.g., PRISM)

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer-based data management and record-keeping skills
  • Excellent communication skills to report results to the team; good command of the English language is a must (speaking and writing)
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of accountability and willingness to learn

  • A strong sense of independence and ability to work in a multi-departmental and international pharma research environment
  • A willingness to build Matrix-leadership skills
