Leadership Role for Biologics and Injectables Platform Technology
The Technical Platform Lead for Biologics and Injectables will provide technical leadership in the advancement of platform technologies within the MS&T organization. This role is responsible for defining and executing platform technology strategies, ensuring necessary capabilities are in place or planned, and aligned to the needs of the Galderma product pipeline and future ambitions.
This position will lead a team of subject matter experts, providing global technical leadership for the advancement of injectable/biologics platform technologies. The role will collaborate with the wider MS&T LT and MS&T site teams to ensure necessary technical capabilities are in place to meet evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide global technical leadership for the advancement of injectable/biologics platform technologies.
- Define platform strategies, collaborating with partners across the Galderma business, and articulating required capabilities to deliver on key priorities of GSC and delivery of the evolving new product pipeline.
- Member of the MS&T Leadership Team, operating at an enterprise level on behalf of the MS&T organization.
- Provide strategic recommendations across the biologics/injectable portfolio, including R&D, in support of Global Supply Chain business goals pertaining to the evolving product portfolio and where a platform approach is required for new technologies or established technologies need to evolve.
- Be the single point of contact within the MS&T organization for biologics/injectables platform technologies across the Supply Chain business and MS&T rep in the Global Product Operations Team, connecting with R&D organization, External Manufacturing, and respective sites, and other teams in MS&T to ensure appropriate SME/specialist support is secured and engaged.
- Develop and maintain tools/standards for facility fit assessment, working with TT Leads and Site Platform SMEs in the MS&T local team to execute facility fit assessments as needed.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a related scientific discipline such as chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology.
- Min 8-10+ years of experience in process development, implementation, and/or leading technical teams across multiple geographical areas.
- In-depth knowledge of biologics manufacturing platforms and technology evolutions.
- Deep working knowledge of scale-up, technical transfer, and process change management/improvement, with knowledge in current Good Manufacturing Practices and US/EU/ROW regulations.
- Extensive experience and in-depth scientific/technical knowledge of pharmaceutical products, injectables, biologics, whether in process development, product development, scale-up, or operations.
- Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to set ambitious goals and successfully drive results, define priorities, manage, and influence individual and team performance, and demonstrated ability to organize people and activities to achieve goals.
- Ability to perform within a dynamic and stressful environment.
- Fluent in English.
