Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at BakerHicks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the procurement process, from pre-qualification to order/contract commitment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process from pre-qualification to order/contract commitment.
  • Negotiate and position BakerHicks and its clients in advantageous positions when procuring goods or services.
  • Develop and negotiate terms and conditions in line with the form of contract.
  • Ensure compliance with BakerHicks' and client quality assurance and management systems.
  • Work on-site or attend site as required to support projects.
  • Liaise with BakerHicks' and client suppliers and contractors to ensure contracted compliance of their work.
  • Effectively report progress to project managers and take ownership of timely delivery of purchase orders and service contracts.

About You

  • A degree in purchasing/business administration or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a procurement manager in the construction or related industries.
  • 3+ years of experience as a procurement manager in the Pharma/Life Sciences sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used model forms of supply and construction contracts for the DACH region.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence and negotiate internally and externally.
  • A team player with a willingness to work extended hours when required to meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
  • Flexibility to travel and spend time on-site as required to support projects.
