System Administrator for Central Storage Facilities

The Storage Services group at ETH provides resilient central storage services. We are seeking an experienced specialist to support applications in the complex storage infrastructure and provide reliable operation of IT systems.
As a system administrator, you will be responsible for supporting system technical questions and modern concepts in data storage. You will also work with manufacturers to manage storage services and provide customer-oriented consultations on the management and security of research and administrative data.
Your tasks will include creating concepts and standard procedures, as well as working on and managing projects. Your participation in infrastructure specialist committees will help solve complex problems.
Your Skills and Qualifications- You have in-depth knowledge of dealing with large IT systems.
- Ideally, you have already acquired knowledge in the area of storage services and storage components from various manufacturers.
- Knowledge of the security environment is advantageous.
- You are used to thinking in a networked and process-oriented manner and have the ability to structure and convince in a solution-oriented manner.
