Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Requirements and Test Engineer (Flight Data Processing System) to join our team at Coopers Group AG in Geneva.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the Air Traffic Management Domain or a safety-critical domain, with expertise in requirements and testing of mission-critical systems and software.

As a member of our highly qualified team, you will participate in software specification and testing of our flight data processing system, working autonomously in an Agile team and collaborating with systems end-users and other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and understanding Functional System Requirements (FSRE) provided by the Business Analyst
  • Writing, reviewing, and updating Equipment Requirements (ERE) in collaboration with the Product Owner using Polarion and performing traceability to the Functional System Requirements (FSRE)
  • Creating and maintaining test cases to provide full coverage of Equipment Requirements (ERE) using Polarion
  • Configuring and setting up test platforms
  • Writing automatic test scripts for test automation environment (Squish, Python)
  • Executing manual and automatic tests in integrated validation environment as part of sprint work during the Build phase or as part of the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) during acceptance phase and reporting test results
  • Analyzing and describing issues/bugs in the issues Database, and participating in their classification
  • Acting as a point of contact to clarify identified defects or related Equipment Requirements (ERE)

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Air Traffic Management Domain or a safety-critical domain
  • Proven experience in writing system and software specifications and experience in system and software testing
  • Knowledge with standards such as ED153/ED109A or ED12B/C is a major advantage
  • High analytical capacity, with the ability to understand end-user needs and translate them into requirements for the Development Team
  • Proven experience with test automation tools using Python (use of Squish, Jenkins experiences are major advantages)
  • Experience with Polarion is a major advantage
  • Experience in JAVA development is a plus
  • Experience in JAVA using JUNIT for test automation is a plus
  • Adaptable, autonomous, rigorous, and team-oriented
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively
  • High resistance to stress, and flexibility
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required, French and German is a plus
