International Reinsurance HR Business Partner, Switzerland

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland. As a key member of our international reinsurance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our leadership and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR processes, including compensation, position approvals, offer approvals, performance management, and talent acquisition.
  • Provide trusted advice, coaching, and consulting to leaders and management to improve leadership capability, team effectiveness, and business performance.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to drive business growth, engagement, development, and retention of talent.
  • Manage headcount, offers, and position approvals in alignment with divisional and global HR goals.
  • Leverage analytics to inform business decisions and stay ahead of people and culture trends.
  • Run HR processes, including annual compensation reviews, goal setting, onboarding, and Workday management.
  • Drive HR projects, such as engagement surveys, international reinsurance summits, and ad-hoc workshops.
  • Advance employee development, leveraging group resources and piloting new approaches.
  • Provide input to divisional and international HR as needed.
  • As Head of HR for Switzerland, sign off on Swiss local payroll, ensure benefit programs are locally competitive, and represent Everest in local HR bodies.

Requirements

  • Strong mastery of Swiss legal, social, payroll, employment tax, and labor law (8-10 years of successful HR management experience in Switzerland).
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Experience in talent development, employee development, learning, and training.
  • Fluent in English and German languages, advanced in French language.
  • Experience in the reinsurance industry, insurance industry, or financial services industry is an advantage.
