Senior Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team at Climeworks, a leading company in the field of direct air capture technology. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling fast testing and validation of new technology ideas and concepts, delivering reliable results and striving for measurement excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize new and existing testing facilities to support the Climeworks Vision.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate test activities in the context of technology and product development, including developing test specifications and ensuring reproducible tests.
- Enable the collection of test data and prepare test data for further usage, including ensuring the quality of test results and analyzing measurement uncertainty.
- Interact with internal and external partners to facilitate fast prototyping and testing of new hardware components and sorbent materials.
- Commission, validate, operate, and maintain new and existing testing facilities.
- Take responsibility for the assigned test facilities during commissioning, validation, operation, and maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Expertise in the field of testing, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar field.
- Knowledge in testing process design on a small and medium scale, agile testing, and rapid prototyping.
- Hands-on experience in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate work packages, with excellent communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency in English and German, with willingness to travel occasionally.
