About the Project
The Biozentrum, University of Basel, is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to conduct research on the topic of trust and accountability in charitable organizations. This project is part of an international collaboration with colleagues from the U.S., Canada, and Scotland, and is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
About the Role
As a PhD student, you will be responsible for conducting a dissertation that contributes to the project's objectives. Your research will focus on the cross-sector opinions on trust and accountability from different stakeholder perspectives, including charities, foundations, government, and the general public.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Management, Economics, or a related field in Social Sciences
- Solid knowledge of management and corresponding research methods
- Interest in applying research skills to understand the relevance of trust and accountability in charitable organizations
- Experience in applying empirical and qualitative methods is desired
