Job Description

We are seeking an experienced cleanroom assembly engineer to join our team in the Superconducting RF Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cleanroom assembly techniques and processes for superconducting radio-frequency components and systems.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality and reliability of these components and systems, which are critical to the success of our particle accelerator projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve our cleanroom assembly processes, including the development of new tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering, with experience in cleanroom operations and quality control procedures. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in mechanical or chemical engineering;
  • Experience with conceiving, implementing, and exploiting RF infrastructures such as clean rooms, ultrapure water, high pressure water rinsing, pure gas distribution systems;
  • Proven experience with clean room assembly of SRF objects or mechanical parts in ISO4 conditions;
  • Knowledge and application of clean-room techniques;
  • Quality management;
  • Assembly of mechanical structures and equipment;
  • Operation and maintenance of mechanical components and systems, ideally with RF components and systems;
  • Demonstrating accountability: working conscientiously and reliably; delivering on promises;
  • Achieving results: having a structured and organised approach towards work; being able to set priorities and plan tasks with results in mind;
  • Working in teams: working well in groups and readily fitting into a team; participating fully and taking an active role in team activities;
