The Challenge AheadWe're seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to spearhead our Microscopy Technology Platform. As a key member of the 360 Labs leadership team, you'll collaborate closely with the Global Head to develop a bold vision and strategy for operationalizing cutting-edge microscopy technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the life sciences, with a strong background in the application of advanced optical microscopy technologies and image analysis approaches in biomedical research.
This leader will not only oversee the implementation of innovative scientific strategies but also foster a culture of curiosity, responsibility, and humility within the team.
Your Responsibilities as a Visionary LeaderAct as a visionary leader, guiding the team towards the deployment and application of cutting-edge microscopy technologies;
Develop and lead a matrix team, collaborating with therapeutic areas and functions to prioritize and implement innovative scientific strategies;
Elevate the Microscopy Platform by pioneering new approaches, streamlining workflows, staying updated with the scientific literature, and engaging with internal and external optical microscopy communities;
The successful candidate will hold a PhD degree in a relevant field, accompanied by at least 8 years of professional experience in academia or the pharmaceutical industry/biotech sector.
Hands-on experience with optical microscopy techniques and commercial/open-source image analysis approaches, as well as their application to exploratory research and early drug discovery, is essential.
Awareness of emerging trends in quantitative optical microscopy, including widefield, confocal, high-content imaging, multi-photon, label-free, lightsheet, and next-generation technologies in spatial biology, is crucial.
